Thanksgiving 2019

Dear Pastors, Friends, and Prayer Partners:

Happiest of Thanksgivings!  Psalm 92:1 – It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High. 

We give thanks for you who pray for us daily.

We give thanks for you who invite us to partner with you in the work of evangelism and revival.

We give thanks for you who support us.

We give thanks for all of the friends we have been privileged to make.

We give thanks for the privilege we have to serve in this ministry.

Bethlie and I, along with our staff here at the David Young Evangelistic Association, have had a wonderful year.  We have served churches literally around the world and have seen people saved here in the USA as well as in Africa, the Middle East, and the Philippines.  My heart smiles at all these memories of great services and great singing and God’s people responding to the preaching of God’s Word.  We are truly blessed.

Thank you for praying for these past few weeks.  We had a very blessed meeting at Hope’s Point Baptist in Weston, WV and this young church continues to march onward and make a difference in their community. I was very happy to serve them! From there we headed to Salem Baptist in Ten Mile, TN. Salem Baptist first invited me to preach while I was only a high school preacher boy and they have faithfully loved, prayed for, and supported me all of these years.  We had a great meeting and were thankful for God’s Spirit moving in reviving His church. Our final Sunday in Tennessee we conducted a Family Emphasis Conference in Sparta. I preached four messages on the home and family and it was a wonderful day. 

Nicholas Anderson is with our family in Ohio for this Thanksgiving. We are celebrating with Bethlie’s Mom who is battling bone cancer and recovering from hip and femur bone replacement surgery.  It has been wonderful to be here with our former home church, Newark Baptist Temple, as well as with Mom.  Please remember her in prayer.

Micah Self is celebrating Thanksgiving in Moldova.  He is there preaching in a Bible college and helping to train students in world evangelism.  Pray for him that his time there will be wonderfully blessed.
